We end this month of February on a positive note. We had a good day today. Jonathan now weighs 52 pounds! He had his first "Real Meal" today that was not hospital food. He had a hot dog, french fries and Diet Coke from Sonic and loved every minute of it. He did well in his therapy today. He is getting better at sitting up by himself and we are working on helping him balance and sit up on his own. He sounded out some 3 and 4 letter words today, spelled his name out loud and wrote his name down several times. He is still sleeping well at night and seems to be content and happy during the day. We get to enjoy more smiles and laughing with each passing day. We are still working on his left arm and legs. He will use his left arm if you ask him to but he does not initiate using that hand. He tries to move his legs and is able to do so a little bit.
A big prayer concern is his agitation during his therapy. Please pray that Jonathan will be able to do his therapy with out crying and being agitated. Pray that he will be able to listen and do what the therapist ask him to do. Pray that when he gets agitated or frustrated that he would be able to find a way to deal with it without crying. Pray for us that we will be patient and understanding with him until this passes. Pray for continued healing in his brain. Continue to pray for his left arm and legs. Pray that God will continue to protect his health as well as the rest of us. As always, thank you so much for all your prayers.
