Jonathan slept all night again last night. Grandma said the first thing he said when he opened his eyes this morning was, "Pancakes." Today was a nice, quiet day. Typically on the weekends, there is not much to do. Since Jonathan is a lot more aware and awake now, it is more difficult to keep him occupied, especially on the weekends and since his attention span is very short. His favorite thing to do is eat, so he is always asking for food. Dad spent the day with Jonathan and I think they had a good day of just hanging out together. Mom spent the day hanging out with Elizabeth and Sarah and doing to some shopping. Jonathan is now sitting in a regular chair to eat his meals and holds himself up very well. He is trying to move his left arm and his legs more and gets frustrated when he can't make it happen. This evening when I got there, I showed Jonathan the new tennis shoes we bought him today and asked him if he wanted to put them on. I put one in his lap and he tried to lift his foot up to put it on himself. We enjoyed talking to him and making him laugh. It is so much fun to see him smile and hear him laugh. Dad is spending the night tonight and will hopefully have new pictures for you to see next week.
Pray that Jonathan will continue to sleep well. Pray for a good week for him. Pray for Jonathan's level of agitation to decrease, especially during his therapy, and that he will be able to do what the therapist, doctors and nurses ask him to do. Continue to pray for his left arm and legs that they will get stronger each day and that his brain will continue to heal in that area and be able to tell those limbs to move. Thank you so much for your diligence in praying every day. God hears your prayers and is answering! Praise His Holy Name!
