Jonathan had another good day today. He did good in his therapy in spite of having a restless night. He did not sleep very well and we are still trying to figure out why. He continues to try to speak but it seems to hurt his throat to talk. Tonight we took him to the family eating area while we ate and he said "I want some drink" and then he said "I want some more drink". It is so awesome to hear his voice again! He seems to be much more aware of his situation and environment. The doctor said that this could be a problem in that he might become more upset and agitated. We are praying and believing that God will give him peace and clarity of mind. He continues to eat good even with his new diet of ground food. He is not having any issues with eating or drinking. In fact, when he drinks his Pediasure for a snack, he can down an 8oz can in about 5 minutes. He also is having no problems getting the 50oz of fluid that the doctor wants him to get per day. We continue to praise God for all the things that He has done in Jonathan and continues to do in him. Tonight after his bedtime snack, we were getting him ready to go to sleep. He seems to be more agitated at night after his snack and we are working on what to do for him. Well tonight Jonathan may have let us know. His mother had already left for the night. We turned him on his side, which he was fine for about 5 minutes and then begin to cry. I asked him what was the matter or if any thing hurt. He shook his head no. I asked him if he needed anything and he said "I want mommie". Well of course, I called right away and she came to the rescue. After she arrived, she got in the bed with him and he went right to sleep. Please pray that Jonathan will be able to rest and so will Kristi.
Give God praise for all the wonderful things that He is doing! Pray for strength and rest for Kristi and myself. Also, pray that God would protect Elizabeth and Sarah and our whole family. God is doing a mighty work in Jonathan and we are humbled. God is good!
