God continues to glorify Himself through Jonathan each and every day. Today in physical therapy, they put Jonathan on a tilt table. They strapped him onto a table with his feet flat on another piece of the table and tilted him upward so that it puts weight on his legs like he is standing. I was told that most children can barely stand 5 minutes of this on the first try because it causes so much agitation. Jonathan stood there for at least 20 minutes with no problem at all! Everyone seemed very surprised. He ate another cup of pudding (sugar free vanilla this time) in about 10 minutes again today, so the speech therapist is ordering a breakfast puree tray for him to try tomorrow morning about 7:30. He is still doing lots of waving and thumbs up for everyone which always makes us smile and cheer. Our Cares Conference was not real detailed except to say that the current time frame for his stay is 6 weeks. However, this will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks when we meet for another conference. Only God knows the real time frame. We have only been here for one week but the doctors have been very positive about his progress.
Please pray for Jonathan tomorrow as he begins to eat some real food. Pray that it will taste good to him, that each bite will go down the right way and that he will continue to progress in this area. We are so grateful for all that God is doing and give Him glory for it all. He alone is worthy.
